Victoria Egedus Participates in Richter Scholars Program at Lake Forest College

Victoria Egedus `14 of Crystal Lake, IL has been named a Richter Scholar at Lake Forest College.

The Richter Apprentice Scholar Program offers a unique research opportunity to a small group of outstanding students early in their college careers. During the summer between their first and second years, Richter Scholars are employed for ten weeks as apprentice scholars working one-on-one with faculty members conducting independent research.

Egedus is researching genetic mutations in the microscopic soil worm Caenorhabditis elegans to understand how to treat human genetic diseases with Professor Pliny Smith.

Egedus is a graduate of Prarie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake, IL.
