2013 Mar 25

Sarah Chiren `16 of Northbrook, IL was selected as a Richter Scholar at Lake Forest College. Chiren will work on a biology research project with Professor Shubhik DebBurman titled, "Discovering amino acids in alpha-synuclein that regulate its toxicity in Parkinson's Disease." The Richter Apprentice Scholar Program offers a unique research opportunity to a small group of outstanding students early in their college careers. During the summer between their first and second years, Richter Scholars are employed as apprentice scholars working one-on-one with faculty members conducting independent research.
