Lake Forest College Student Diana Bartolo Studies Off-Campus in Chicago

2012 Jan 5

Lake Forest College student Diana Bartolo, `13, of Maywood, IL is spending the spring 2012 semester studying off-campus in Chicago with the Lake Forest In The Loop Program.

Lake Forest College In The Loop extends curricular choice for students by offering a mix of learning options, and is a natural expansion of the class trips and activities developed by the Center for Chicago Programs. Students reside in Hostelling International, a large and well-appointed hostel located in the Chicago Loop. Through the academic program and co-curricular activities, students learn about various distinctive aspects of Chicago, including the city's history, economy, politics, architecture, art and relationship to the natural environment. Through the program students acquire a broader perspective and learn to relate their Chicago-based semester to their overall Lake Forest education.

Bartolo is a graduate of Proviso Math and Science Academy in Forest Park, IL.

Lake Forest College is a national liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago. The College has 1,500 students representing 47 states and 78 countries. For more information visit www.lakeforest.edu.
