Kaila Stephens selected as a Lake Forest College Summer Research Fellow

Lake Forest College student Kaila Stephens `13, biology major of Rosemont, IL, has been selected as one of the 15 Summer Research Fellows that will work with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) this summer.

The unique paid research program allows students to work in specific medical school labs, carrying out original medical research in the areas of cell and molecular pharmacology, neuroscience, cell biology and anatomy, biochemistry and molecular biology, pathology, microbiology and immunology, and physiology and biophysics. Stephens will be working in Dr. Rachel Greenley's psychology lab.

Stephens is a graduate of Willows Academy in Des Plaines, IL.
