Jordyn Varga Selected as Groner Grant Recipient at Lake Forest College

Jordyn Varga '13, of Nassau, was selected to receive a grant from the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation at Lake Forest College for their work at the Misericordia Personal Effectiveness Program during the fall 2012 semester. Jordyn Varga is a Personal Effectiveness Program intern at Misericordia: Heart of Mercy. In her role at Misericordia, Jordyn helps residents in the PEP program with executing their schedules activities that help with their behavior.

Lake Forest College was the recipient in early 2010 of a $7 million gift from alumna Grace Groner '31, who made international news for how she initially made her millions: through smart investing and frugal living. The Groner grant program funds select service projects for Lake Forest College students. The first Groner scholars were named in fall 2010.

Varga is a graduate of home school in , Connecticut.
