Hanna Morrison Selected as Groner Grant Recipient at Lake Forest College

Hanna Morrison '13, of Orlando, Florida, was selected to receive a grant from the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation at Lake Forest College for their work at the Misericordia Occupational Therapy and Personal Effectiveness Program during the fall 2012 semester. Morrison is a Personal Effectiveness Program and Occupational Therapy intern at Misericordia: Heart of Mercy. In her role at Misericordia, Hanna helps residents in the PEP program with executing activities that help with their behavior. In Occupational Therapy, Hanna helps coordinate physical activities that help the residents.

Lake Forest College was the recipient in early 2010 of a $7 million gift from alumna Grace Groner '31, who made international news for how she initially made her millions: through smart investing and frugal living. The Groner grant program funds select service projects for Lake Forest College students. The first Groner scholars were named in fall 2010.

Morrison is a graduate of Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, Florida.
