Garrett Pluhar-Schaeffer of Park Ridge, IL, graduated cum laude from Lake Forest College with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and music . Pluhar-Schaeffer is a member of Phi Sigma Tau.

Pluhar-Schaeffer was among more than 350 students to graduate from Lake Forest College at Ravinia Festival Park on May 10, 2014. Honorary degree recipient Kelly Leonard '88, executive vice president of The Second City, delivered a comedic and inspiring speech called "Saying Yes And." He talked about how his career after Lake Forest has been full of risks, but he's always been happy. Leonard even gave a few improvisation tips. Pluhar-Schaeffer is a graduate of Maine Township High School South.
