Agnes Dadej Selected as Groner Grant Recipient at Lake Forest College

2012 Oct 16

Agnes Dadej '13, of Park Ridge, Illinois, was selected to receive a grant from the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation at Lake Forest College for their work at the Drop-in Center at the Gorton Community Center during the fall 2012 semester. Dadej is an intern for the Drop-in Center at Gorton Community Center. In her role at the DIC, Agnes creates and implements a curriculum for the early childhood program by focusing on activities that develop motor skills and social interaction.

Lake Forest College was the recipient in early 2010 of a $7 million gift from alumna Grace Groner '31, who made international news for how she initially made her millions: through smart investing and frugal living. The Groner grant program funds select service projects for Lake Forest College students. The first Groner scholars were named in fall 2010.

Dadej is a graduate of Maine Township East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois.
