Adriana Lay of Wildwood graduates from Lake Forest College

Adriana Lay of Wildwood, IL, graduated cum laude from Lake Forest College with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and anthropology and Spanish . Lay is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta and Phi Sigma Iota. Her senior thesis, "Linguistic Identity of First-and-Second Gneration in the Midwest and the Loss of Their Mother Tongue," was awarded distinction.

Lay was among more than 350 students to graduate from Lake Forest College at Ravinia Festival Park on May 10, 2014. Honorary degree recipient Kelly Leonard '88, executive vice president of The Second City, delivered a comedic and inspiring speech called "Saying Yes And." He talked about how his career after Lake Forest has been full of risks, but he's always been happy. Leonard even gave a few improvisation tips.
